Well, Hell....

...If you think having your computer hard drive reformated is hellish, how about twisting the knife more by finding out my phone just decided not to work one morning and having no cable tv for two weeks now?!?!! 3 mishaps all at the same time. Yeah. (insert mockery: When it rains, it pours) Talk about incommunicado.. sort of. Good thing i still have my ever reliable 6510 phone which have endured many years with me since college, and sure, this office for my emails. Allow me to rant about a stupid story: I brought my 6270 to the Nokia Care center at glorrieta last Wednesday to have it repaired.. Took a number, 16, and during that time they were currently serving agitated customer # 2. I waited for an hour before i finally got my turn, and when I did, i told her what the problem was, so she switched it on and said,

Lady: Ayos naman po ah...
Me: Huh?!
Lady: Ayos naman po yung phone nyo, tignan nyo...
Me: *looks at my phone and sees it was indeed alright* oo nga noh..
Lady: *Gives me a wry grin*
Me: You mean to tell me I've been sitting here for an hour and my phone has been fine all this time?!
Lady: Yes ma'am...
Me: Hmmm.. *whispers to self, i could've sworn it wasnt working this morning..* -- *switches phone off, and back on again* ... There! Ayan o miss, blank screen! Yan yung sinasabi ko!!
Lady: Oo nga noh... hmmm... eentarmeten siya
Me: Ha? Ano yun?
Lady: Eentarmeten .. minsan gumagana, minsan hinde...
Me: Ahh.. intermittent! Ok.. So maayos nyo ba yan today?
Lady: Hindi po ma'am, come back nalang tomorrow. Pero we're going to have to reformat it kasi corrupted ang software. Ok lang po ba?
Me: Wala namang ibang choice di ba?!
Lady: Wala po.. sinasabi ko lang. Sandali lang po ah.. bibigay ko lang `to sa technician....

~ Familiar looking media dude butts in (FLMD) ~

FLMD: What's the problem with your phone?
Me: *startled* Oh... well... i dont really know.. One minute it was working fine, then it got discharged so i plugged in the charger and switched it on again, but then it just showed a white blank screen. Weird.
FLMD: Ouch. Do you have a back-up of your phonebook?
Me: Oh shit, now that you've reminded me, no. Stupid!!
FLMD: Have you tried connecting it to your pc by using your USB?
Me: Uhh.. No.. Like i said, it just appears blank everytime i switch it on.. So lesson of the story, always have a back-up of everything.
FLMD: There's always a next time...
Me: Haha, yeah.. Although i hope there won't be a next time of something like this happening.
FLMD: *explicitly chews gum*

So ayun naman, aside from the weird chewing of the gum, he was really cute.. i just can't quite remember which tv show or commercial i saw him from. Anyway, I digress (*ahem*). The lady who works at Nokia returned and said i could pick up my phone the next day. And so the following day indeed, i went back to get my precious phone back, i gave them the receipt and everything and still i had to wait for 45 minutes until a moronic looking guy came up to me and said my phone was already fixed. Excited as i was, i immediately switched it on... and guess what... IT WAS STILL A BLANK!!!! By that time, i could really feel the veins in my head pulsating and my blood starting to boil... And all that idiotic guy could say was, "Ay, kala ko ayos na..." AAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been there for three times already, and this coming Wednesday will be the fourth, and HOPEFULLY the last!! I'd have to say this is one hard bullet to bite!!

On the Other News...

My mom has been invited to give a speech about entrepreneurship among the youth 2 weeks from now...

Me: But you don't even have your own business... heller?!
Mom: I know, but i'm treasure naman of ****** (company name)
Me: But that still doesn't qualify as your own.. Shempre you have to get your thoughts and information out of your own experience.. Where are your thoughts and experience?!
Mom: I know, i know.. that's why i'm asking Vic (her bestfriend) to write me my speech....
Me: That's cheating!! And again, it has to be coming from your OWN experience, not his... Hay nako.. This isn't a casual stint ma, you'll be speaking in front of 800 college people... if you're not sure about this then don't do it.
Mom: Eh bakit si Gloria (Arroyo) may taga-gawa ng speech?!
Me: Uh.. let's see... Because she's the president of the Philippines and you're not?!!

I swear, if not by some freak accident, my own mother will kill me!!
